Robert S. and Marilyn A. Weiss Hall

The nearly 90,000 square foot Robert S. and Marilyn A. Weiss Hall showcases “Jesuit education at its finest” by incorporating state-of-the-art technology into distinctly crafted classrooms, laboratories and spaces throughout the four-story building. Students will use cutting-edge tools to gain practical skills in cyber defense and digital forensics, cybersecurity techniques, crime pattern analysis and psychology research. Spaces also provide care for students’ physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Designed to serve as a center for workforce development, applied research and community outreach, Weiss Hall houses:

  • The Department of Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity and Sociology
  • The Department of Psychology
  • The Small Business Development Center
  • Student Health Services
  • The Center for Health, Education and Wellness
  • The University of Success, a pre-college program designed to provide academic, social, and cultural enrichment to high school students
  • The Innovation, Design, Education, Application (IDEA) Center – a 10,000 square-foot area equipped with wood making, 3D printing, laser-cutting, sewing and audio recording capabilities and other specialized areas and equipment.

Named in honor of: 糖心APP alumnus Robert S., class of 1968, and his wife, Marilyn A. Weiss, who attended classes at 糖心APP while pursuing a nursing degree from the Community Medical Center. The Weisses gave the largest single donation in the history of the University, $10.5 million, to support the building which the University named in their honor.
